The Golden Doe Award was created to provide each Scouting unit in Daniel Webster Council with an annual opportunity to recognize an outstanding woman who goes above and beyond to support her local Scouting program. Unlike other BSA awards, there are no membership, training, or tenure requirements for selection. Unit leaders are encouraged to choose a woman who has had a significant impact on the quality of their Scouting program, either through ongoing support or leadership of a specific project. Golden Does are selected by consensus of unit leadership for demonstrating dedication to Scouting and working tirelessly to create or support positive experiences for youth.
