Summer Program Guide Now Available
Scouting is at its best when it includes outdoor experiences. What better adventure could there be than staying at Camp Carpenter? Our programming emphasizes the aims of Scouting: character development, leadership development, citizenship training, and personal fitness. These objectives are more important than ever as we prepare our youth for the future. At Camp Carpenter, we offer a chance for young people to disconnect from technology and interconnect with nature, friends, and themselves.
Update on Rekindling Curiosity
For the past four years, the Rekindling Curiosity program has been a tremendous resource for New Hampshire families and has enabled thousands of campers to enjoy a memorable summer camp experience. Since this program was fully funded with COVID-19 relief funds, which expired this past September, the Rekindling Curiosity scholarships are not expected to be available for the summer of 2025.If something does come to fruition, the New Hampshire Department of Education will broadly publicize it.
Camp Scholarship Application Available
We are committed to ensuring that every youth has the opportunity to enjoy a summer camping experience. This form is intended for Scouting families seeking financial assistance through our Camp Scholarship Program. The camp scholarships will cover no more than 50% of the camp’s fully discounted cost. The application must be received by March 14, 2025.

Camp Staff Highlight - Brendan Adams
Brendan is going into his 11th summer at Camp Carpenter and very excited to be stepping into the role of Head Commissioner. Over his 11 summers he has worked in many areas at camp including SWARM, Shooting Sports, Waterfront, Trailblazers, and Climbing.
Through his time at Carpenter, Brendan has been presented with many opportunities to serve as a volunteer scout leader outside of camp. In the past he has served as Den Leader, Cubmaster, and Assistant Cubmaster for multiple packs. Currently he is serving as Cub Scout Roundtable Commissioner and a Unit Commissioner in Arrowhead District and Camping Chair for Massabesic District. He often volunteers to help out at events in the offseason both at Carpenter and elsewhere in the Granite State.
Professionally, Brendan is working at Mountain Village Charter School in Plymouth, NH. He is an assistant teacher in two upper elementary classrooms, the music teacher for the entire school, as well as the coordinator for the After School Program. His time at camp has inspired a love of the outdoors which he works everyday to share with his students!

Project Highlight
Manning Hall Undergoes Major Renovations at Camp Carpenter
Camp Carpenter’s Manning Hall is receiving significant upgrades to improve its functionality and longevity. The renovation project, which began in 2024, started with a new roof and gutters to address weather-related concerns. In 2025, the focus has shifted to replacing windows and doors, enhancing energy efficiency and year-round comfort. These improvements are made possible through the efforts of the Camp Carpenter Trustees, Council leadership, and key contributors like Stephen DeFrancesco, along with skilled subcontractors. While the work continues, these upgrades will ensure Manning Hall remains a welcoming and sustainable space for generations of Scouts to come.
