2025 Monadnock Good Scout Award

Honoring Those Who Make a Difference

Mark Bodin

President, Savings Bank of Walpole

Mark Bodin has been President of Savings Bank of Walpole since 2018, leading with a strong commitment to community engagement and staff development. Under his leadership, the bank has been named a “Best Bank to Work For” by American Banker Magazine for eight consecutive years.

Mark was recognized as the 2023 NH Community Banker of the Year and named to the NH 200 list of influential leaders. Savings Bank of Walpole has also earned numerous awards for its dedication to community service and social responsibility.

Prior to joining Savings Bank of Walpole, Mark spent 16 years as COO/CFO of the Student Conservation Association (SCA). His extensive community involvement includes serving as Trustee and Treasurer of Cheshire Medical Center, working with the Keene Multi-Cultural Center, and supporting youth and economic development initiatives across the region.

Mark lives in Andover, VT, with his wife, Maddy, and believes in “working where you live” to build a stronger, more connected community.

Each year, the Monadnock Good Scout Award is presented to an individual or business that has made a meaningful and lasting impact in the Monadnock Region. This prestigious recognition honors those whose character, leadership, and service reflect the values that Scouting instills in young people—integrity, responsibility, and community engagement.

The award serves as a tribute to those who lead by example and inspire others through their dedication to making the Monadnock Region a better place to live, work, and grow. By honoring these exceptional role models, the Monadnock Good Scout Award reinforces Scouting’s mission to prepare youth for a lifetime of leadership and service.
