The Distinguished Citizen Award, established by Scouting America, honors individuals for extraordinary leadership and service to their communities. It highlights the importance of character and citizenship, inspiring youth to lead, take responsibility, and prioritize principles beyond self-interest. For over 114 years, Scouting America has shaped young people through character-building programs rooted in the values of the Scout Oath—duty to God, country, others, and self. These timeless values, expressed in the Scout Law, continue to guide youth toward ethical behavior, self-reliance, and care for others.

Proceeds from this event support our mission to deliver enriching and life-changing Scouting programs to all youth across the Granite State, ensuring that every child, regardless of their economic circumstance, neighborhood, or ethnicity, has access to the opportunities Scouting provides.
