Alex Ager
Since 2010, Alex Ager has been a member of one of our camp staffs. One of only a few who has spent Summers at Camp Bell, Hidden Valley, and Camp Carpenter, he has contributed to delivering the mission of scouting to thousands of youth.
He has held numerous leadership positions, demonstrating unwavering dedication and commitment.
His impact on the Scout Camp community is profound—he has been a friend to many and a guiding force for countless kids, helping them grow and thrive. Alex Ager, your hard work, compassion, and leadership have shaped the lives of so many. Thank you for 15 remarkable years of service to Daniel Webster Council Camps.

After many years of leading the Camp Carpenter Committee Volunteers, Jon Leavitt stepped down as the chairman. He will continue volunteering with the service days and at the scouting museum. So you have plenty of opportunity to say hi and thank Jon for his meritorious service.
Camp Carpenter Volunteer Corps - Dennis Menick
New Leadership, Name for Carpenter Volunteer Corps
Longtime Carpenter Volunteer Dennis Menick has stepped up to help the volunteer efforts at Carpenter in this time of transition from committee to Corps. Working with Director of Properties Bryan Boyajian, leading volunteer property projects at Camp Carpenter year-round.
A transplant from the Midwest, Dennis started his scouting career as a Boy Scout in 1983 with Troop 32 Burke Lutheran Church in Madison, Wisconsin, earning his Eagle Scout in 1989. He attended summer camp at Camp Castle Rock Mauston, Wisconsin, in 1985 and 86. He later joined the Camp Castle Rock camp staff from 1986 to 1990, serving as Camp Quartermaster and later as Assistant Ranger.
After taking a break from scouting for military service, Dennis returned when his son joined Troop 414 in Toano, Virginia. He served as Assistant Scoutmaster and a Bayport Scout Reservation Alumni Committee member. He took over 24 scouts of Troop 414 every year to different scout camps in various States.
After retiring from the Army in 2015, his family moved to Derry, New Hampshire, to resume scouting. He joined Troop 109 in Londonderry, where he served as Assistant Scoutmaster and Scoutmaster. He joined the Camp Carpenter Committee in 2016, and he and his wife organized Spooktacular events during the COVID years. Dennis is known for cutting camp trees and assisting the resident camp staff with start-up and teardown.
Dennis was inducted into the OA in 1985, sealing his Brotherhood in 1987 and keeping the Vigil in 1989. He served as a Yahara Chapter Chief, Lodge Vice Chief, and Lodge Chief during the late 80s Tichora Lodge. He is a recipient of the Silver Beaver for his contributions to the Four Lakes Council and Daniel Webster Council.
