About the Council
Starting from March 4th, 2024, the Adult Volunteer Application Process will undergo significant changes to enhance the safety measures and ensure thorough background checks. The changes are as follows:
- Criminal Background Check (CBC) Requirement: All new adult volunteers must have the results of their CBC received and cleared before assuming any leadership role.
- Pending Status Notification: Once an application is processed, the applicant will be placed in a “pending” status and receive an email notification. The notification will emphasize that the individual must not assume any leadership role until the CBC process is complete. The unit key 3 will also receive an email regarding the status.
- Activation Notification: Upon satisfactory CBC results, an email will be sent to both the applicant and the unit key 3, indicating that the applicant is now cleared to become an active leader.
