The U.S. Department of Homeland Security and Scouting America have teamed up to launch the #Know2Protect campaign, an initiative providing youth and families with essential tools for online safety. Scouts can earn the Know2Protect patch by completing educational activities designed to promote awareness and safety.“
In today’s digital age, it is essential for young people and their parents to understand the potential risks of online activity,” says Scouting America Chief Safeguarding Officer, Glen Pounder LLM. “The Know2Protect campaign aligns perfectly with our mission to provide a safeguarded environment for young people to learn and grow. By equipping Scouts and their families with the knowledge and tools they need to stay safe, we are helping to build stronger, more resilient communities.”
