Queen City Rotary Grant Enhances Accessibility at Griswold Scout Reservation

The realization of this project is owed to the longstanding partnership between the Scouting America New Hampshire and Easterseals New Hampshire, which is centered on creating inclusive outdoor experiences in New Hampshire. The two Manchester-based organizations thank the Queen City Rotary for their 2024 Impact Grant, which made significant accessibility enhancements possible at Griswold Scout Reservation in the most high-traffic areas of the main camp.

While the road improvements may not be immediately noticeable or the collaborative efforts behind these enhancements fully realized to a visitor to GSR. The completion of this project represents a crucial step in ensuring that the camp remains welcoming and accessible to individuals of all abilities.

The Queen City Rotary Club, known for its dedication to supporting youth-focused initiatives in the Manchester area, provided the necessary funding through its Impact Grant program. This grant, which can range from $1,000 to $10,000, is specifically targeted at organizations serving underprivileged youth in the greater Manchester area.

By investing in infrastructure improvements that enhance accessibility, Scouting America New Hampshire and Easterseals New Hampshire are committed to serving diverse populations and creating opportunities for all to enjoy the benefits of spending time outside.
