This tree is native to New Zealand and have been collected here in New Zealand in a sustainable manner. Seeds are very small and short lived and must be planted as soon as received. In my experience in warm temperatures these will start to germinate after around 2 weeks.

Need heat to germinate the seeds and the plant itself is frost tender. Seeds require light and temperatures between 20°C (68°F) and 30°C (86°F) to germinate. In testing, under constant temperature of 25°C (77°F), about 62% of the seeds germinated.
