Scouts BSA Barebow Competition

Scouts BSA Barebow Competition OctoberOct 09 2021 09:00am - 06:00pm596 Hooksett Rd, Auburn

WHAT

We are holding a biannual barebow shooting competition for scouts of Daniel Webster Council at the archery range in Auburn.

PARTICIPANTS

Each participating troop can select up to three scouts to participate. Scouts may practice shooting as often as possible and participate in a general barebow shooting competition in October 2021.

Participating scouts can reserve the range at the camp for their shooting practice. The camp will issue each archer a serialized bow (the same draw weight, same draw length, and same arrows) and archers will use the same bow whenever they come to the camp to practice. There is no fee charged and an active USA Archery Level II Instructor will be present as the range master to ensure the safety of the scouts.

Scouts may bring their own bows if they want and the draw weight should be less than or equal to 30 pounds. All shooting aide devices are not allowed, such as sight, stabilizer, clicker, or plunger. Troops don't need to come to the practice if they can practice elsewhere. They may simply register and show up on the date of the competition

WHO

The organizer of this event, Taewon Jin, is the ASM of troop 603. He is an active USA Archery Level II instructor and USA Archery instructor trainer. He loves to shoot barebow with youth.

Phoenix Business Computing, LLC Will award cash prizes to winning troops to recognize their shooting skills and teamwork.

The top three troops will each get a $300 cash prize through the council.
