Please do not forget to include those Webelos into your patrols this is an ideal time to introduce them to Patrol Method and get to know who will be their fellow troop members. Webelos/AOL Scouts are invited to the event.  Please reach out and coordinate with those groups to enhance their crossover experience.  You can either blend them into your patrols or create a Webelo/AOL Patrol with a Troop Guide to help them through the experience just keep in mind their experience level.

Equipment List

• Klondike Sled Per Patrol
• Water for the Day – Yes a modern water container will be accepted
• Patrol First Aid Kit
• Six pieces of rope 6ft long
• Above-ground pit or trashcan lid for cooking lunch
• Wood for Cooking and a Small Fire Station – Be prepared to carry out your ashes
• Two Blankets
• Compass
• Two 6ft Staves

Skills for the Event

• Knot tying and lashing
• First Aid
• Cooking – Mid-1800s style – yes there will be a lunch competition and will be judged by mid-1800s standards
• Fire Building – Think about what would be available for the time
• Teamwork

Schedule

• 7:30-8:30 – Sign In
• 8:30 Opening Ceremony
• 11:30 Lunch Competition Begins
• 3:00pm Shut Down
• 3:15-3:30 Awards Ceremony
