BSA Swimming & Water Rescue provides BSA leaders with information and skills to prevent, recognize, and respond to swimming emergencies during unit swimming activities. It expands the awareness instruction provided by Safe Swim Defense training. Persons completing the training should be better able to assess their preparation to supervise unit swimming events. The Swimming & Water Rescue course is not a lifeguard training course and is not a substitute for BSA Lifeguard training. Participants should bring a bag of lunch and snacks and a reusable water bottle. There will be opportunities for refilling. This class is for adults 18 and up. Must bring a copy of the health form to the event download a copy here -Â HEALTH FORM.
A prerequisite is to complete Safe Swim Defense Certification.
