Historic District has many, many, people who contribute to making the Scouting program successful. Is there someone in your unit that you think needs to be recognized for their many contributions? There is? But you’re not sure if they have already been recognized?

Here is the list of prior honorees:

Please check these lists and if you have someone not on them, that you believe is worthy, please find the link below to the correct form and submit it on their behalf. Let them know that their work was noticed.

Annual Recognition Dinner

The Historic District’s Annual Recognition Dinner is held annually in March to honor the time and commitment of its adult volunteers.  All adult volunteers are encouraged to attend for a time of reflection, fellowship and celebration.   The highlight of the dinner is the presentation to fellow scouters with annual awards recognizing their scouting accomplishments.

Tickets for the dinner go on sale in February.  Keep an eye out for announcements at Round Table and on the district e-mail lists, or contact any member of the District Committee for further details.

The following awards are presented annually at the district recognition dinner:

  • District Award of Merit
  • Unit Leader Award of Merit
  • Unit Service Award 

Due to the time it takes to process these awards, all nomination forms MUST be submitted by their associated deadlines. See the description of each award for specific submittal instructions and associated deadlines.

Who already has an award, you may wonder? Here is the list of the past recipients of the District Award of Merit and Scoutmaster Award of Merit. Please note an individual can only receive each award once.
