SERVSAFE® MANAGER CERTIFICATION

COURSE DESCRIPTION
The ServSafe® program provides food safety training, exams, and educational materials to foodservice managers. Students can earn the ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification, accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI)-Conference for Food Protection (CFP).  The program blends the latest FDA Food Code, food safety research and years of food sanitation training experience. Managers learn to implement essential food safety practices and create a culture of food safety. All content and materials are based on actual job tasks identified by foodservice industry experts.  Trust the only food safety program with roots in the foodservice industry to help you protect customer health, improve employee performance and preserve business reputation.

This course is open to anyone (age 18 or older, preferred).  While required for many in the foodservice industry, it is extremely helpful to those who have leadership over any food handling situation including kitchen or rural/campsite settings.  The day will consist of 8 classroom hours which includes both teaching and testing.  Lunch will also be provided at no additional cost.  All cost of materials is covered by tuition in the curse and will include books which the participants will be able to keep.  The Daniel Webster Council is asking for all events which utilize the Camp Carpenter or Gilbert Dining Hall (Hidden Valley) kitchens to have at least one reliable person with supervisory responsibility (and/or an advisor) to have this certification each time these kitchen facilities are in use.
