Eagle Service Project ApprovalPlease contact the district Eagle admin person to schedule an appointment for your Eagle service project review two weeks in advance of the scheduled project review date. It is required that an electronic copy of your Eagle Scout Leadership Service Workbook be submitted through email when requesting an appointment. Eagle Admin - Joy Bradish 603-424-3498 The Eagle Scout Leadership Service Workbook must be used to fulfill the Eagle service project requirements. The district has accepted other documentation in the past, but starting 10/1/07 only the official workbook, properly filled out, will be accepted. A Life Scout working on his Eagle service project plan should read the following (available from the council eagle page): In addition, as of May 1, 2009, no funds derived from "Scout Accounts" will be allowed to finance Eagle Projects. The District Eagle Project Committee approves plans, not ideas. To assist scout's in creating a project plan, our council has created a standard project plan outline for Eagle service projects. This outline is used by all districts in our council. The outline provides additional information, guidance and interpretation of the following description of "Project Details" from within the BSA workbook: Plan your work by describing the present condition, the method, materials to be used, project helpers, a time schedule for carrying out the project, the estimated cost of the project, and how the needed funds will be obtained. Describe any safety hazards you might face, and explain how you will ensure the safety of those carrying out the project. |
It is strongly recommended that you utlize the standard project plan outline in writing up your project. Do not delete any sections. If you feel a section does not apply, then state so. Do not create separate documents and write in "see attached" for the different planning sections. Such plans will not be accepted for review. For more information on what is involved in preparing for a project review click here for a powerpoint presentation. If you have any questions regarding project reviews, please contact the district's Eagle Admin. Eagle Board of ReviewThe district will schedule an Eagle board of review after the Scout's Eagle application and workbook are received from council. A board of review will not be scheduled with the scout until a copy of the workbook has been received. It is recommended that you also send an electronic copy of the completed workbook to the district's Eagle Admin.
