John Rainville, Program Director

John Rainville joined the Daniel Webster Council in 1996 as a program specialist for the Outdoor Education Division but his experience with Scouting dates back further than that.

John joined the Boy Scouts in Goffstown, New Hampshire in 1985 and earned his Eagle in 1990. Before joining the professional staff at the Daniel Webster Council, John worked on staff at Hidden Valley Boy Scout Camp for three years and served as Winter Trek Instructor for two years.

After John joined the staff at the Council, he was quickly promoted to Director of Outdoor Education & Outreach in 1999, then to Outreach Director in 2004. John took on responsibility for Learning for Life and Exploring in 2005.  Most recently, March 1, 2010, John was promoted to Program Director.  John will join the Program Department and use his knowledge and skills to help build and promote our programs across the state.  John graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in Kinesiology and Outdoor Education. He is certified by the Boy Scouts of America as a Ropes Course Director and as a Rock Climbing & Rappelling Director.  John enjoys surfing, rock climbing and kayaking. He lives in Newmarket with his wife Christine.
