Den Chief Training

May 20 @ 8:15 am - 2:00 pm

Why:  Create a built-in liaison with the Pack – let the Cub Scouts get to know a Boy Scout in YOUR unit – help yourself with added interest in the Scouting program and help the Boy Scout Den Chiefs learn leadership skills

Who:  Interested boys; rank of First Class or higher.   Interested Scouts below the rank of 1st Class requires the Scoutmaster to contact the 3 contacts listed below in advance with a personal recommendation (an email is fine).

Cost:  $10.00 (cost includes Den Chief Handbook for those that register in advance)

More info:  It has come to our attention that the Cub Scout leaders may not know how to properly utilize a Den Chief once they have one or how to go about getting one.  If you are an adult leader and interested in learning more about the Den Chief program, this training session is open to you for observation purposes only.  Let me know in advance in you are interested in sitting in.  No charge for Adult Leaders to attend but bring a lunch for yourself.

Uniform:  Class A Boy Scout Uniform – if you show up in anything less, you will be asked to leave.  (MB sashes not required)

Bring:  Boy Scout Handbook, notebook, pen / pencil, a lunch for you, a good attitude, Scout Spirit and the willingness to share your thoughts
