Directions to Camps

CAMP CARPENTER

Address:   300 Blondin Road – Manchester, NH  03109

From Route 93 North (traveling north)
Take Exit 5 and turn right onto Route 28 (Rockingham Road). Go past diner on left and take immediate left onto Auburn Road. At four way stop, take left onto Old Derry Road. Old Derry Road becomes Bodwell Road at the Manchester/Londonderry line. Take a right onto Blondin Road after you pass East Meadow condominium complex. Continue on Blondin Road to camp.

From Route 101, Route 293
Take Exit 1 off Route 293 onto Route 28 (South Willow Street). Go past two Mall of NH entrances and turn left at next intersection with traffic lights onto Huse Road. Go over highway and take next right onto Mooresville Road. Continue to the end of Mooresville Road and take a right onto South Mammoth Road. Go under highway and take next left onto Bodwell Road. Continue on Bodwell Road for 1.7 miles and take left after Convenience Store onto Blondin Road. Continue on Blondin Road to Camp.

From Route 93 South (traveling south)
Take Hanover Street, Candia Road exit.  At Hanover Street go straight.  At Candia Road take left and go under highway.  Take second right onto East Industrial Drive (first left takes you to Boy Scout Office).  At end of East Industrial Drive take right on Island Pond Road.  Take immediate left onto Cohas Ave.  At end of Cohas Ave (stop sign) take left onto Bodwell Road.  After passing the Convenience Store take left onto Blondin Road.

GRISWOLD SCOUT RESERVATION

OFF-SEASON DIRECTIONS TO GRISWOLD SCOUT RESERVATION
(BEGINNING OF SEPTEMBER TO END OF JUNE)

At all times please follow the speed limits in the town of Gilmanton. Many access roads are posted 25 miles per hour, and they are heavily patrolled on weekends. Thanks for your cooperation.

Please contact the Campmaster (603-273-2780 weekends only) or one of the Rangers (Bryan Boyajian 603-387-8879 or John Rolfson 207-314-6132) for current road conditions and accessibility. December through April there can be snow and ice conditions. March and April can bring impassible mud conditions.

Points East, Southeast or Northeast
Take most convenient route to Alton NH. Turn west onto Route 140, go 5.6 miles to Gilmanton Iron Works Village.

Points North, South and West
Route 93 to Exit 20 to Route 140 toward Belmont to Gilmanton.

HIDDEN VALLEY

Traveling West
 Rt. 140, after the Gilmanton IW Village: go .3 miles and turn right onto Crystal Lake Road.

Traveling East
Rt. 140 After crossing Rt. 107 go 6.3 miles on Rt. 140 and turn left onto Crystal Lake Road.

Soon after turning onto Crystal Lake Road, bear left at the fork, travel 3 miles and turn right onto Places Mill Road. Travel 1/2 mile and turn left into the Griswold Scout Reservation Entrance. The center of Camp is approximately 1 mile in from the gate.

CAMP BELL

Traveling West
Rt. 140, after the Gilmanton IW Village: go .3 miles and turn right onto Crystal Lake road.

Traveling East
Rt. 140 After crossing Rt. 107 go 6.3 miles on Rt. 140 and turn left onto Crystal Lake Road.

Soon after turning onto Crystal Lake Road, bear left at the fork, travel 3 miles. Crystal Lake Roads turns to Guinea Ridge Road. Continue 2 miles. Turn right onto Manning Lake Rd. Go all the way to the end, past the boat ramp. Camp Bell is located ¼ mile beyond the boat ramp.
